About Munnar

Munnar is a small hill station in the district of Idukki district of the Indian state Kerala.It is a town full of splendours, carpeted with emerald green tea plantation, molded, clipped, sculptured like embellishing enclosure.
The town is the Largest tea growing region of South India. This hill station was once the summer resort of British Government in south India. The name Munnar is believed to mean three river referring to its location.

By Air - Cochin International Airport and Madurai airport is the nearest major airport from Munnar. Cochin airport is almost 110 Kms far from the Cochin city . You can easily take taxi at airport to munnar town. And Madurai sirport is almost 140 Kms far from munnar.
By Train - Aluva is the nearest railway station from munnar which is approximately 110 Kms away from munnar. The Ernakulam Railway Station and Madurai Railway Station both located nearby munnar, Ernakulam Railway Station is almost 130 Kms and Madurai Railway Station is 135 Kms far from munnar.
By Road - Regular bus services are available from Kerala and Tamil Badu to Munnar. There are good and cheapest bus services available at the both cities.
